Your Role

Depending on the role, clinicians may provide therapy, support assessments, contribute to IEP-related work, and partner closely with families and educators.   • About This Role

    At Speech 360 Therapy Inc., we believe great therapy starts with supported clinicians. We are a clinician-led, values-driven practice committed to high-quality, individualized services and we're looking for an AAC Specialist who shares that commitment.

    We are seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist with dedicated expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about giving every client a voice and who wants to do that work within a practice that genuinely invests in its people.

    AAC Focus & Responsibilities

    AAC-Specific Duties

    • Conduct comprehensive AAC evaluations and make evidence-based device/system recommendations

    • Design, trial and implement individualized AAC intervention plans across a range of systems (high-tech, low-tech, and no-tech)

    • Train students, families, teachers, and support staff on AAC device use and communication strategies

    • Collaborate with school teams, vendors, and funding agencies to support device acquisition and implementation

    • Stay current on AAC research, tools, and methodologies (e.g., LAMP, core vocabulary approaches, feature matching)

    • Serve as an internal resource and thought partner for team members supporting AAC users

    • Advocate for robust, language-rich AAC systems and presumed competence for all communicators

    General SLP Responsibilities

    • Provide speech-language therapy services to school-age students

    • Conduct assessments and write clear, compliant reports with AAC-informed goals

    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

    • Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams

    • Participate in onsite meetings and school-based collaboration

    • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and service logs

    • Track student progress and adjust goals and supports as needed

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

    • Current California SLP license, or eligibility for licensure

    • Demonstrated experience or specialized training in AAC assessment and intervention

    • Familiarity with a range of AAC systems and feature-matching frameworks

    • Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills

    Preferred

    • CCC-SLP credential 

    • Experience with high-tech AAC devices (e.g., Tobii Dynavox, PRC-Saltillo, Snap Core First, TouchChat)

    • Training in LAMP (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning) or similar methodology

    • School-based or pediatric experience

    • Experience collaborating with special education teams and participating in meetings

    Schedule & Structure

    • Full-time, W-2 employment

    • Hybrid schedule: onsite for therapy sessions; remote for indirect/planning time

    • Supportive, flexible leadership that understands the demands of clinical work
